Is It Illegal to Rip Your Purchased CDs to Computer?

I'll let this article speak for itself. Many people see this as the beginning of the end for the music industry as we presently know it. I've read several bloggers who say that even the artists disagree with the RIAA's stand on this issue and that many of the artists will leave the big labels and go independent.
